Maintaining a good posture will help you prevent the back pain, one of the most common diseases among adults. It is estimated that 80 percent of the adult population suffers from intense back pain and the first thing to blame will be nothing but your lifestyle and your posture.

As prevention is always better than cure, we can also look into some of the preventive measures for this ailment. Exercising will help in keeping away the pain. Simple back bends or related exercises in Yoga too can be resorted to in your efforts to prevent back pain. Many women, after pregnancy and childbirth, tend to suffer from back pain unless they have taken proper care and medication during those stages. People should also be careful while taking heavy objects because such acts may result in generating back pain. In short, any action or posture, which exerts excessive pressure on the spinal column may lead to back pain.
