Das Park Hotel, sleeping in a pipe
If we talk about curious, original hotels, we cannot stop talking about the Das Park Hotel, an original accommodation as they come, where guests sleep inside large pipes of which are used to channel water, or for drains.
It is in Germany, specifically in Bottrop-Ebel, near the city of Essen in North Rhine-Westphalia. If ever you travel to that part of the country, you can consider this as a real option, especially if what you like is to experience new things. In fact, it is not the only one of its kind in Europe, as there is other similar Ohensheim, Austria.
Comfort in minimum space
Although in principle you do not find incentives to stay at the Das Park Hotel and not seduce us the idea of sleeping in a small space and unwelcoming, we will soon realize that the experience does not have to be negative. Recycled sewer pipes that serve as rooms are not at all uncomfortable and have enough space for us to be upright and did not give head.
The hotel has three pipes with an inner diameter of 2 meters and a length of 2.6 meters. They are single use, but can also sleep two people in them. They have a double bed, bedside table and a sleeping bag. The bathrooms and showers are for public use.
Another original and rare aspect that has caught our attention is that the hotel has a service called “pay as you wish” (pay as you wish). Invoking this premise, the traveler can pay when you want or can, provided they do not exceed three free nights. Of course, a novelty for the times in which almost always pay in advance.http://www.travelsucks.com/das-park-hotel-sleeping-in-a-pipe.htmlHoteldas park hotel
