We decided to end the week in a country in which many of us would be right now, because it offers many interesting places worth discovering. We are referring to Australia, among its many attractions, known for its beautiful beaches. Today we speak of one of the most beautiful: the Four Mile Beach.
Located in Port Douglas, in the northern state of Queensland, this beach is perfect to enjoy the sunrise. Would you like to discover more? Well then you can not miss anything of what we tell you then!
Ideal for children
Port Douglas, formerly a quiet village of fishermen, has become a major tourist destination in the country, as well as being sophisticated and quiet, offers spectacular golden beaches like the famous Four Mile Beach, an ideal place to enjoy the sunrise and for children to have a great time.
A beautiful beach
The beach starts on a rocky promontory and stretches 4 miles to the mouth of the river Mowbray, where you can find rocks, reefs and mangroves. Along the beach you will enjoy their golden sand, really inviting waters and, fortunately, few buildings. And, which are near the sea, they are hidden behind the palm trees.
Ideal conditions for kite surfing and windsurfing
The beach is characterized by low and flat, while the water conditions are suitable for the practice of kite surfing and windsurfing, especially during the winter months, when the trade winds blow from the south. The currents are not very frequent, but better swimming in the patrolled area. Here we leave our gallery where you will find more images of this beautiful Australian beach.
